Guest House Opened in Residential Area Delhi/NCR

Thousands of Guest House and PG Accommodation in Gurgaon are available in residential areas. The number has crossed 5000 service providers for the same. Are they fulfilling norms to open guest house in residential area? What is your voice?

HUDA considers guest house which are opened in residential areas are illegal. They must satisfy the norms for setting up a guest house inGurgaon. Recently, they conducted a raid to seal a guest house which was not following the norms.

Renting a PG or providing Guest House is considered to be a commercial activity. Guest House owner or PG owner must get license to offer their services to service takers.

Gurgaon is developed in to a IT hub and educational area having various companies and colleges. This attracts huge human resources to come and join them. This is the reason why pg accommodation is becoming the best source of income for those who have piece of land near colleges and companies.
These days it does not even matter that you have land in posh area or not but you can attract good number of people who are searching for accommodation. Providing modern facilities is what attracts them. A room having all modern facilities is rented from 1500 INR to 4000 INR.

When we talk about pg accommodation, it goes from 5000 INR to 11000 INR depending on the facilities you want to take. Some PG’s are also available at 3500 INR if you don’t want to take meals. Government is becoming stricter for PG or Guest House owners. They must have license to run a business in residential area.

To react to government’s reaction, guest house owner said “Companies also take their land for accommodation of their employees”. Some companies also provide accommodation facilities to their employees in Trident, Oberoi or Leela. Before living in residential areas watch out for the norms.
